We at Hyline Media had the pleasure of producing a series of videos highlighting the impact rural teachers have on small Montana communities. The mission behind this program is to reduce the critical shortage of teachers in rural Montana – and the support from Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies has enabled Montana State University-Bozeman to invest directly in the future of rural education – and the results are powerful.
The article link at the top of this page contains a powerful story along with 4 videos that give a real insight into this movement. As an MSU graduate and owner of a small media company in Bozeman Montana – this project hit home. Traveling across our state, filming in tight-knit communities, and piecing together stories of passionate educators reminded me just how foundational great teachers are.
I went to Canyon Creek School in Billings MT K-8 and had about 17 people in my class. Those teachers made an impact. Seeing that same level of dedication in these rural educators – and getting to capture it – was incredibly meaningful.
